According to the cross-platform research, while ads in print and digital news magazines perform better than ads in social media channels, print ads, in particular, have a far higher memory impact on readers. 2. Tailored Content Drives Growth Of SVoD In US (AdvancedTelevision) Nielsen reports that subscription video-on-demand (SVoD) platforms are in great demand (51%), followed by ad-supported video-on-demand (AVoD), multichannel video programming distributors (MVPDs) and virtual MVPDs (vMVPDs) that accounted for 36% of viewing. Tailored content is the key driver of SVoD growth. 3. Bloomberg Registers A Record Q2 Ad Revenue (Campaign) Bloomberg operates a wire service, a global television network, a streaming service, events, websites, radio stations, subscription-only newsletters and magazines, and has registered its strongest ever year of advertising revenue. Its ad revenue grew by 62% in the first half of 2021 in Europe due to strong demand for digital advertising (up 79%). 4. Verizon Media To Step Into ECommerce Transactions (MediaPost) Verizon Media plans to expand on its eCommerce capabilities by processing the transactions on its marketplace that enable consumers to search for, discover and purchase products through the Yahoo platform. Shoppable videos will be part of this and place Verizon Media’s eCommerce business in direct competition with marketplaces like Amazon. 7. US Ad Economy Expands 43% In July 2021 (MediaPost) According to a MediaPost analysis of data from Standard Media Index’s US Ad Market Tracker, the US ad economy is still recovering from the COVID-19 ad recession, growing 43.3% in July and marking the fifth consecutive month of year-over-year gain. In comparison to the pre-pandemic month of July 2019, the US ad economy is up 15%. |
